Freecell solitaire is probably the easiest of the solitaire games to master. It is a great game to play if you are just in the mood for some fun. It is also the only one that you are able to win at almost every time if you practice a bit.
If you have played solitaire on your computer you would be able to play the game easily. However if you are new to freecell solitaire we would like to give you a quick rundown of how the game is played.
There are three main areas in the game of freecell solitaire. You will see that all 52 cards would be dealt face up into a number of columns. You should move the cards between the stacks to make up sets that run in sequence from high cards to low cards. It should run in sequence in different suites for example: 7 – black, 6 – red, 5 – black, 4 – red… and so on.
To the top left you will see the “Reserve” blocks and to the top right you will see the “Foundation” blocks. The end goal of the game is to stack the cards running from the A up to the highest card value in their respective suites. So in the one column you would have all the spades, then in another all the hearts, in another all of the clubs and the last all of the diamonds. These stacks of cards would however need to start with an A.
The “Reserve” block is an interesting feature that if used right will make things a lot easier for you in a freecell solitaire game. What the reserve block does is it gives you a place to temporarily put cards while you move others. As you are only able to move one card at a time this will make it much easier to move cards around.
You can however also use it very effectively if for example you have one card you need to move, but one or two other cards are blocking that card. Just place it in the reserve box. Then at a later stage as you find places to put those cards in the reserve box, you just move them either back into the columns or into the foundation box.
It is however always a good idea as well in freecell solitaire not to try and move all of the cards up to the foundation blocks too quickly. Doing this in the wrong way could make it difficult for you to complete some of your combinations of cards.
The right way of moving the cards to the foundation block in freecell solitaire is to make sure that you first get all of the A’s and 2’s in there for all the suites. Then gradually fill up each box in this way. Moving too quickly on a particular suite might result in it being game over for you quite quickly.
